Louisiana is one of 31 states where discrimination against LGBTQ people is still legal. The Louisiana Employment Nondiscrimination Act by Senator Troy Carter would prohibit workplace discrimination against LGBTQ people so that no one can legally discriminate against trans and queer people based on who we are or who we love.

Some suggested themes for your comments are 1) why this legislation is important to you, 2) a time when you were discriminated against, or 3) that people should be hired based on their qualifications and not who they are.
