At the convention, Louisiana Trans Advocates' membership voted to elect Dylan Waguespack to serve as President of the Board. Alexander Andersen was elected to serve as Vice-President of the Board.Read More
All children deserve a family. Too many LGBTQ youth come out to family members only to face rejection, hatred, and violence. Those facing the most extreme levels of family rejection and maltreatment are often forced out of their homes, or will run away, becoming homeless or entering the foster care system.
Tomorrow is the first day of May, which is National Foster Care Month. In Louisiana, 4700+ children are currently in foster care. Throughout May, we'll be reaching out to share with you the stories of youth in foster care and the actions you can take to support them.Read More
