Louisiana Trans Advocates is first statewide transgender advocacy and social support organization in Louisiana. At this point, there are two basic ways to get involved in LTA.
Activism and Education: Our activism group is spearheading several projects that you are welcome to get involved in. If there is any hope of Louisiana with fully equality, it is critical that the transgender community has a clear and unified voice across the state. Social Support Group: We have a monthly social support group in Baton Rouge. The group is open to all people who self identify as transgender or gender variant, regardless of where they fall on the feminine to masculine scale or where they are in the transition process. Significant others, family, friends, and allies of trans and gender variant people are also welcome to participate. These meetings are in Baton Rouge and more information can be found on the Facebook event pages that are posted each month. Contact Micah Caswell for more information.
